Richard C. Fox

Richard Fox was born in Louisiana and fought in the Civil War in the 31st Louisiana Infantry for the Confederacy.  After the War, around 1870, he and his brother John settled in Clark County.

Richard C. Fox married Nancy Ann Deaton, the daughter of Goodin Deaton and Lucinda Jackson Deaton, on September 21, 1873 in Clark County, Arkansas.  Richard was 41, and Nancy was 23.

Richard and Nancy had seven children: Julia Elizabeth, Garland, Cornelia, Eugenia, Carrie, Allen, John William "Willie"

Richard died on December 22, 1898.
